If you are new to Sketch, don’t worry. You’ll get the hang of it quickly.
The first step, just as with any program, is to be able to create a new document.
Begin by activating the Sketch app on your desktop. You should see this dialog box open up and you can select the “New Document” option out of the 6 presented templates.

Halfway down the middle, you have access the “Artboard” command.
After clicking the Artboard command, you will notice the following menu appear on the right-hand side of your screen:
There are multiple dimensions listed for Apple devices, ranging from iPhones to iPads.
If you want even more options, go to the drop-down menu and select something else, such as “Responsive Web” and new options and artboard dimensions will be presented.
Plus, if you change your mind and want to reaccess the templates that were presented when you first launched the app, you can easily select a new template. Simply go to the top menu bar and click File > New from Template.
